As a supporter of different art forms and someone who has a reasonably good understanding of environmental matters, unfortunately I am struggling to get my head around this particular piece.
In a coastal town with hundreds of beach huts, (which people are used to seeing) many of which are regularly ravaged by our seas providing a regular graphic illustration of the effects of the sea. Whether caused by global warming, long shore drift or even a nearby manmade chanel ( with apologies to your sponsor) the choice of fiberglass beachhuts I find nothing short of bizarre.
If the beach huts were organic and washed away over a period of time I might have "got it" however it is thier manufacture and the stated symbolisism " every action we have has a ripple effect"..with which I have concern.
The embodied energy which has been used to create these temporary structures is in my opinion obscene. The use of steel tubing fixed into our fragile beach with concrete, topped with fiberglass ...yes fiberglass a largely non biodegradable substance is very ironic.
Regrefully I fear you have made a point but not necessarily the one hinted at, it is pleasing that art is open to all forms 0f interpretation.
Sorry for my negativity but hope you accept my comments as genuine and based on the limited facts I have.

Wow! I cannot wait to see the finished project. You are all so talented and original and I hope the TV people will be there to film it.
